Pick something to tick off your bucket list this year

When was the last time you sat down and thought about the things you really want to achieve in your life? Put aside 30 minutes this week to create a bucket list of activities you really want to achieve in your life. Once you’ve completed the list, look at whether there is one activity you can focus on this year that would bring you a lot of satisfaction. Whether it’s an ultramarathon, an overseas trip or a new business venture, it can inspire you and put a lot of focus on the start of the year.

What big ticket items are causing you to feel meh.

When you think about 2020 is there one thing that sticks out that is causing 80% of the stress? It can often be the way that a relationships or job is causing a huge amount of stress and anxiety in your life. Spend some serious time thinking about how you can improve on that area of your life and 2020 might look a whole lot more bearable. It might even be that you need to make a fresh start, but it is definitely worth acknowledging which activities are really taking away from your wellbeing and what you can do to positively impact those activities.

Simplify and take a break

Sometimes feeling fatigued is just a simple sign that you need a break. Whether it is a break from all of your commitments or just work, perhaps it is time to plan some simple time off.

Comfort zones can be crippling

Challenging yourself all of the time is not sustainable, but on the flip-side spending years in Groundhog Day is also cripplingly boring and unsatisfying. If you’re feeling bored of what this year looks like, think about what are some things you could do to get out of your comfort zone during 2020.

Find your tribe

As we continue to work harder and become more connected online, it is also becoming more difficult to find the time to connect face-to-face with a community of people. Maybe 2020 is the year where you start reaching out and connecting with different groups of people who can bring some new vitality to your year ahead.

Spend some time thinking deeply

If you’re currently feeling pretty unmotivated to get into the year, perhaps this means that you need to take a little time to slow down and take stock. What’s going on for you and what do you need in our life right now? These are important questions worth exploring as with a little thought 2020 could be your best year yet.
